Merlin is a replacement ROM board for Dragon's Lair and Space Ace.
This version of Merlin is specifically designed to work with the Dexter laserdisc-replacement player.
The custom programming within Merlin-Dx is able to instruct Dexter to change the laserdisc as needed to provide a true multi-game.
There is no need to open the game cabinet and change the laserdisc. It's automatic.
The latest firmware download includes ROM sets for:
Dragon's Lair - Factory version F2
Dragon's Lair - Enhanced version G
Dragon's Lair II - Time Warp
Space Ace - Factory version A3
Cliff Hanger
Super Don Quixote
"Merlin" is only for use with the 1983-'84 versions of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace built by Cinematronics / Magicom.
